History of Dukh Bhanjani Sahib

A man named Duni Chand Khatri from Patti have 5 daughters. One day Duni Chand asked the daughters ,”Tell me the ,who provides the meal”.
Four of them answered that their father was. But the youngest daughter Rajni replied ,”its God that sustain all living beings. hearing this , Duni Chand was angry and decided to get the youngest daughter married to a leper (chronic bacterial infection).

Rajni accepted
After that Rajni with her husband decided to go Amritsar to meet Guru Ram Das Ji.
In this period of time , Rajni served in Guru ‘s community kitchen to cook meals.

Meanwhile her husband sitting around the pool also known as sarover under the ber tree.
one day her husband saw two crows dip into the pool sarover next to the ber tree. when crows came out from the pool , they had changed from black to white colour.  He could not believed that.
A miracle in the front of his eyes had taken place. Seeing this , he had inner calling to take a dip in the water.
when he came out , he was cured of leprosy disease. Now he was no longer leper.
Thats why its named  Dukh Bhanjani Beri where the gurudawara was established.
